Public Works Department Maintenance Worker:

Conewago Township is currently accepting applications for the Public Works Department. All candidates must possess a valid PA Class B Commercial Driver’s License. Required skills and qualifications include proper operation, maintenance and repair of equipment, safe operation of manual, pneumatic and power tools, knowledge of road maintenance and repair best practices. The ability to be available for emergency callouts and operate a snowplow is also required. Pay scale will be discussed at the time of interview. Please submit resume to Manager@conewagotwp.com. Data Center Information 2026

A second special meeting to review a draft ordinance and map to regulate data centers within Conewago Township will be held on August 20, 2026 at 6:00 pm. The second meeting will be held at Bible Baptist Church located at 4190 N Susquehanna Trail; York, PA 17404. Copies of the draft ordinance and map will be available prior to the meeting.

Free Household Hazardous Waste Registration: The YCSWA will be holding a free household hazardous waste drop-off event 10/17/26 from 9am to 1pm. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED – click HERE for registration information or call 717-845-1066. This free event is open to all York County residents!
Road Maintenance: Tuesday September 1st – Tuesday September 15, 2026 crews will be crack sealing on Copenhaffer Road. Please be careful when travelling this area.
Road Maintenance: Monday August 31, 2026 temporary road closures to occur on the following roads for fog seal application:

Permit Email Scam ALERT: A nationwide Zoning & Planning Scam is targeting residents and businesses. Scammers are posing as local Planning and Zoning Officials via email asking for payment for permits. A common red flag of this scam is an email coming from the domain “usa.com”. Please stay diligent and verify any sender asking for payment – never send payment via wire transfer. Conewago Township does not send email invoices for payment of permits. Official Conewago Township emails end in “@conewagotwp.com”.

As part of the 2027 update to the York County Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) the York Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (YAMPO) has created a series of videos highlighting major projects across the county. Two of these projects, the Church Road/Susquehanna Intersection and I-83 Exit 24 Southbound Improvements take place in or near our municipality. The video linked shared below is for residents to increase awareness of the project and the York County TIP. There is also a short survey for residents to share their comments or questions about the projects, all comments and questions from this survey will be reviewed by the YAMPO coordinating committee.
