Permit Email Scam ALERT: A nationwide Zoning & Planning Scam is targeting residents and businesses. Scammers are posing as local Planning and Zoning Officials via email asking for payment for permits. A common red flag of this scam is an email coming from the domain “usa.com”. Please stay diligent and verify any sender asking for payment – never send payment via wire transfer. Conewago Township does not send email invoices for payment of permits. Official Conewago Township emails end in “@conewagotwp.com”.
Road Maintenance. Starting this week, Martin Paving will be here in the Township to fog seal 5 roads. This process takes about two weeks. Oil will be applied then a layer of stone, then a second layer of oil and stone. It will then get compacted with a roller, and a few days later they will return and sweep up loose stone. The final piece of the application will be to install a fog seal which will harden and seal the application. During the process, you may experience loose stone but we assure the appearance of loose stone will be minimized at the end of the process.

As part of the 2027 update to the York County Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) the York Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (YAMPO) has created a series of videos highlighting major projects across the county. Two of these projects, the Church Road/Susquehanna Intersection and I-83 Exit 24 Southbound Improvements take place in or near our municipality. The video linked shared below is for residents to increase awareness of the project and the York County TIP. There is also a short survey for residents to share their comments or questions about the projects, all comments and questions from this survey will be reviewed by the YAMPO coordinating committee.
