Recreation

Conewago Township Parks and Recreation Board

Please join us at our monthly meetings every second Tuesday at 7:00 pm at the township building, 490 Copenhaffer Road, York, PA.

The recreation board meetings are used to develop suggestions and recommend actions related to community activities and recreation to the Conewago Township Board of Supervisors. The Recreation Board is an advisory body with no authority to approve or deny requests. Recreation meetings are open to the public. We are looking to expand the existing parks and recreation areas and develop new ones. We would love to have as much public input as we can get to ensure that we are truly supporting our community.

We realize that some are unable to make these meetings so we are offering another way for you to give us your input. In the next few months we will be looking at planning and developing the land at Canal Rd and Millcreek Rd. This property was purchased with the intent to make a park for the two developments in that area. For every home developed, the builder has to pay a recreation fee. By law that money has to go to develop a park for that development. We will also be looking to improve the existing parks that we have. Please remember that there are limited funds. If you have any questions or concerns or suggestions please email them to conetwp@comcast.net.

Thank you
